Botox, Dysport and Xeomin are injectable neurotoxin compounds that block the muscle contractions causing facial lines and wrinkles. Relaxing the muscle contractions result in decreased wrinkles and smoothing of facial lines. The use of neuromodulators are used to target specific areas of the face and neck to provide a more smooth and youthful appearance. These treatments typically last up to 3-4 months, meaning they are not permanent and require routine treatment in order to maintain the smoothing effects. Patients 20 years and older may benefit from Neuromodulator treatment in order to prevent and correct excessive muscle contraction causing the unwanted effects of wrinkling.
Patients receive a full facial and muscular analysis, along with a treatment plan, and detailed instructions for before and after treatment with a wrinkle relaxer. During the procedure, the area of treatment is photographed, cleansed, marked and treated using a small insulin needle. The treatment is complete in less than 30 minutes with minimal discomfort and little to no downtime. Follow up appointments are always encouraged and required for first time clients in order to review results and perform post treatment photography.
